Ok,
Its been a very long time since I last wrote an entry.
Here is a quick summary of news:
- I got myself my very own computer.
- I earned my scuba diving qualification.
- I booked a holiday to QLD in June
- I am hoping to do a 9 day bushwalk near Alice Springs in July or August.
Other than that, life is much the same.
Scuba is awesome though!
I did a 4 day course over two consecutive weekends. I am now qualified as an 'open water diver'. this allows be to do 'non-decompression' dives to a maximum depth of 18 metres. I have signed up to do the advanced open wateer diver course in May. When I complete that I will be able to decompression dives (up to 30 metres).
The trip to QLD is to see old friends Sarah and Spock. I also plan to do a 3 day 3 night live aboard scuba trip. They say we will be diving with turtles and Manta Rays. Very excitement!
Its such a fun hobby and really soothing under the ocean. If anybody wants to join me for a dive then I'd love to get wet.
The new computer is ace! I never need to leave the house again.
Its coming up to a year since I had my last alcoholic drink and aint life bland! (sorry Grand).
Who needs to socialise, meet new people and kick your heels up. Its much more fun staying hope alone! ;)
Hey, its been a long time since I updated.
Anyway. I was on holiday between 6 and 22nd Jan. I spent 8 days sailing with Dad, Steve Wise and David Hardy. We sailed along the south coast of York Peninsula and the north coast of Kangaroo Island. I read a book about Matthew Flinders and another about Nicola Tesla. Grouse Stuff. I also managed to block the head (ships toilet) which was pretty glamorous. Photos are below.
I also spent four days cycling around Kangaroo Island with Uncle Tony. He is 70 and a veteran cyclist who has ridden from Perth to Adelaide and Adelaide to Sydney plus more. He has effectively cycled the width of Australia. Photos tell the story.
